Striped Stream Frog – Strongylopus fasciatus

Field Notes:

Observed to be highly vocal, often dominating local choruses with dense aggregations of calling males. Individuals were frequently encountered within thick vegetation along dam margins, as well as within the vegetation of wetlands and small streams.

Calling activity sometimes persisted well after dawn, continuing until approximately 10:00.

Males typically call from within dense vegetation or from the immediate edge of water bodies, usually well concealed within cover rather than exposed.
